Verification & responsible use

Session 7 30 minutes The module that decides certification

Everything else today was about making things. This session is about the habit that makes you a certified educator: a repeatable review process. The rubric gives this module its own passing gate — you cannot be certified without it.

The VERIFY routine — run it on every resource

V
View the citation

Open the evidence behind important statements.

E
Examine important claims

Check definitions, dates, formulas, names and numbers.

R
Review learner suitability

Age, vocabulary, length and cognitive difficulty.

I
Inspect language and terminology

English, Telugu and subject-specific terms.

F
Fix weaknesses

Edit, regenerate, change the prompt or improve the sources.

Y
You approve

The teacher — not NotebookLM — decides whether the resource is ready.

🖐 Now you do it — review the flawed sample

Your trainer will give you a deliberately flawed worksheet. Discuss in your group, but complete your own review sheet. Find and write down:

  1. One factual concern
  2. One citation or evidence concern
  3. One age-appropriateness concern
  4. One language concern (English or Telugu)
  5. One classroom-use concern
  6. One privacy concern
  7. Your proposed correction for each

Responsible use — what never goes into a notebook

Do not upload
The principle

"Even where a service provides privacy protections, the safest educational practice is to minimise the data uploaded. If student identity is not required for the task, do not include it."

Challenge question "The resource is attractive and the Telugu sounds fluent, but the teacher did not verify it. Should it pass?" — No. A visually impressive artifact that has not been verified does not pass. Ever.

✋ Checkpoint — show your trainer

Checkpoint complete — you are the final reviewer!
